About Me
I really enjoy the detailed work of home inspections and having the opportunity every day to teach clients about their homes.
Working with me, you'll find that I love to answer questions. I go over your home thoroughly, and walk you through every aspect of the inspection. I believe it's critical that you participate in the inspection with me -- after all, this is your hands-on opportunity to learn about maintenance recommendations, positive features, and any potential problems your home may have.
I started in the construction industry about twenty-two years ago as a plasterer, and worked my way through the trades to eventually become a building contractor. This naturally led me to home inspections, which I've been doing in the Metro Atlanta area for the last eleven years.
After your inspection (usually within twenty-four hours), you'll receive a detailed computer-generated report that's roughly thirty pages. Digital photos are available at an additional fee. I make this a bit easier to handle by including a summary section at the end of the report; you can be assured that it will contain all the information you need. Of course, if you have any questions after your inspection you're welcome to call me anytime.
In the state of Georgia anyone who wants can become an inspector without any training, so it's especially important that you find someone with experience and credentials. I'm a member of ASHI (American Society of Home Inspectors), a Code Certified Inspector, an International Code Council Member, a member of the Council of American Building Officials, and a Licensed General Contractor. You can trust that you'll be in good hands when I'm the one conducting your inspection.
I offer Radon testing, Framing inspections, Warranty inspections, Indoor air quality inspections, Infared scans and Energy inspections in addition to standard inspections. I'm also able to provide expert witness testimony should you be in a position to need that.
I hope you'll contact me today to schedule your inspection (it usually takes three to five days to get on the schedule). We're glad to answer any questions and would love to talk to you about how Duffy Home Inspection Service, Inc. can best meet your needs.
